Applicants for U.S. visa temporary residence (tourist visa) can now make an appointment directly on the Internet, according to a note from the U.S. embassy in Haiti.
From 1 January 2010, said the note, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United States of America in Haiti will use a new online system for the appointment of applications for temporary resident visa (Tourist Visa) to provide more flexibility and allow applicants to schedule their appointment at their convenience.
By completing the application form online, applicants will now simply click on a link to take along their appointment with the Consulate. This new system, which is available 24 hours a day, they can also change or cancel their appointment on the internet.
Payment of required fees for applications for temporary resident visas, the note continues, will always through the branches Sogebank. However the bank will schedule no more appointments from January 4, 2010.
