A reopening of classes scheduled for April
Haiti: The government plans to allow the resumption of school activities in the department of the West during the month of April 2010 if, of course, all conditions are met.
Pierre Michel Laguerre, Director General of Ministry of Education says that groups of experts from the Ministries of Education and Public Works and town halls will evaluate buildings to issue the appropriate certificates to principals of schools able to accommodate children. Mr. Laguerre ensure that migrant children are also covered and explained that redevelopment of the school calendar and the mobilization of financial and logistical resources are prerequisites for the reopening of classes.
